The contact stated that when she arrived at her destination, she became aware that the engine fan was blowing abnormally loud. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was diagnosed with a failed thermostat and thermostat sensor. The contact was informed that the thermostat and thermostat sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.
