Recall for air bag was issued in May or 2023. So far no information on repair time, etc. Local dealers unable to provide more information. We have a vehicle that is dangerous to drive and need help resolving the issue.

Received a safety recall notice for my 2014 Acadia due to a faulty airbag in June 2023 and GMC still hasn't provided a fix. The noticed states- the front-driver airbag inflator may contain a supplier manufacturing defect that may result in inflator rupture during deployment. An inflator rupture may cause metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. It has been almost a year since the notice was mailed and posted and this is not a matter that has been corrected in a timely matter.
This is regarding a safety recall and no parts being available at this time. I have contacted GM and the Bergstrom dealership multiple times without receiving answers. The original letter I received was from 6/2023. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done - GM should have to provide parts within a timely manner - 8 months and counting is far from acceptable when the letter states "may cause injury or death".

There has been a recall on my vehicle for 9 months and there is still not a resolution from GM. I have called every dealer near me to try and have this recall fixed as it is a major safety hazard. I could be seriously injured or killed if this is not fixed. GM says that do not yet have a resolution and this isn-??t okay!

GMC has not repaired this life threatening air bag issue and states there is nothing they can do at this time. Why can't GMC replace the defective driver's air bag module and resolve this issue immediately. This can be a life or death scenario to drive this vehicle.

Airbag has been recalled since May 2023 and has not been repaired yet. This is a serious recall, and it needs to be repaired now. It is ridiculous that the company keeps saying they do not have the parts to repair this for 9 months when people could die from this.
