When the vehicle Navigation / Radio console went out (separate complaint - there are 2 since there was 2 separate incidents of this occurring within 3-months) I had to wait for the console to be ordered and an return appointment to bring it back to the dealership to be replaced. While doing so, my battery was drained both times but the first time being chalked up to an old battery so it was replaced ($200). The second incident of the same occurrence happened AGAIN while waiting for my appointment (apprx 5-days) and my battery indicator warning sign came up stating "Using Safety Battery Power" or something similar to it indicating my batter was low.
I took my car to the nearest O'Reilly parts store for a free evaluation of my battery in which they said it could possibly be a bad cell and then they recharged it. To make a long story short, I eventually had to return the battery to Sam's Club and was chalked up to a "bad battery". The very next day, my battery was DEAD again. I recharged my battery and drove it to the GMC dealership and explained the whole situation and that possibly the Navigation / Radio console was the culprit for draining 3 batteries. After the console was replaced they stated that this was indeed the reason why my battery was being drained.
