SECOND incident of the Navigation & Radio out. While waiting a few day for my console to come in at the dealership, I took my car home. The next day my battery warning displayed "Battery on Saver Mode". I contacted the dealership as maybe my alternator wasn't charging the battery. I also had them check my transmission as I felt it was "slipping". They checked out both items and the alternator turned out to be fine, however my transmission is another complaint to be added as it will have to be either replaced or overhauled. So, my 3-mo old battery was recharged at no cost and suggested that I have my battery replaced.

I take my car home and drive it over a weekend without warning , then Monday morning comes along and my car is completely DEAD; the battery gets replaced as its under warranty from Sams Club Service Center. The very next morning, after starting up my vehicle, I receive another warning display of my battery being LOW; warning displayed - "Battery on Saver Mode".

I immediately took my car to the GMC Dealership and dropped it off. They were able to replace my Navigation/Radio today while it was there. Once I picked up my vehicle and had a working radio/navigation system again, the service technician stated that it appeared to be the reason my battery kept draining was due to the continuous "on" of the Navigation/radio that would not turn off in the system because of the electrical issue.

So, if you have a radio/navigation console go out and you still want to drive your vehicle, there is a good possibility your battery will get drained.
