This vehicle was impeccably well maintained yet has given us problem after problem Transmission, power steering, HVAC TWICE, which is now the immediate problem. $2,000 to fix the AC!! I had a Trailblazer, 2007, with 190,000 miles that keeps soldiering on with no major repairs and cool air. How cheap did GM go with this next generation?? It makes me miss my cheap old Mazdas. DO not buy this car!
This is the 2nd time I have had an issue with the AC. We were in Florida a few years back in high 90s and lost our AC in rear of vehicle. This time the evaporator has a leak and has caused the AC not to blow any cold air. This is ridiculous for a 30,000 mile vehicle to have this issue. I agree with the other posts. If I keep having these issues, I will definitely get rid of vehicle and get a Toyota and never buy GMC again.
The 1st summer after buying my car the aux evaporator core had a leak. GM said it was repaired. It never got comfortably cool after that. In 2015 I took it in again for the same issue. GM stated they repaired a leak at the evaporator in the rear of my car. Again, my car barely cooled but was not humid. This year during a 350 mile road trip with my Huskies, it failed again. I still had 150 miles to go. Totally pissed off I tried getting a hold of my dealer in KS. No return phone call ever happened. So I took it in to Cardinal GMC in Belleville. They did the best they could to keep cost down and even tried to get the manufacturers warranty on the part. Didn't happen. Same defective part busted 3 time in the 4 years I've had the car.
GM is FULLY aware of the DEFECT and has not corrected it with engineering controls. This needs to be a recall.This defect has been happening since 2011 in the Acadia s. The dealerships are disturbed by it as well but not enough to support not charging the consumer for their sh*tty parts. I have all of my documentation.
If anyone knows how to get help to get through to GM to fix their defects that would be great. I'm sure, if this were a defect on their production line it would get fixed asap! I get so angry about it that I may even post my repair tickets on social media... it's a shame its a beautiful car. But I'm a 55 year old woman with hot flashed & Huskies...not a great defect to cross my path.
At 6,700 miles the A/C went out due to a leak near the rear passenger side. This time, there was a visible leak when the A/C went out. Near the rear wheel, green fluid was leaking out. Took it in and they diagnosed it as another leak in a different area of the vehicle. They repaired it again. So far, it's been good and we haven't had leaks but the A/C doesn't blow like it used too.
