This GMC Acadia is a Lemon. I loved the way it looked and drove when I bought it. I probably wont buy another .I still love the body style of this vehicle, however, I have had several problems with it. I know I can only list them one at a time.This particular complaint is about the engine over revving and running Hot. My extended warranty was void after 70,000. it started giving me trouble at 75,000. It runs Hot, and the battery gauge is running hot also. Its revving very loud and sounds as if it is going to die while I am driving at 60 mph. I am so much more than disappointed. I really love the GMC brand but this car is terrible. I have only had it two years and have spent approximately $3,500.00 so far on Misc problems.
engine suddenly races while setting in neutral in park
The engine suddenly races up to 5000 RPM while in park "Thank God for that" at a drive thru. I would hate to think what may have happened if it was in drive with two cars parked in front of me. I got on the internet and found identical complaints from other individuals about the same problem. I believe GMC should look into this before someone gets seriously injured or killed.
