I complained about the liftgate mechanism not closing properly to my dealer where I purchased the vehicle. They claimed MY issue wasn't part of the recall and quoted me over $1000.00 to repair it and also fix the interior trim where the broken lift-gate arm had torn through.
I declined the repair and told them to just remove the broken arm and I'd deal with my tailgate manually.
THEN...a few weeks ago, I received a recall notice from GMC for THE EXACT PROBLEM . I'm sure since I made them remove the arm that was unreliable and broken, they probably won't repair it.
