2007 GMC Acadia with defective passenger airbag sensor. Consumer states that the mechanic stated that they replaced the seat sensor and the consumer noticed no change. He states that the airbag light goes off and on while driving. The consumer was informed his vehicle identification number was not included in the recall.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that when someone weighing approximately 105 to 110 pounds sits in the front passenger seat, the air bag light illuminates. The illumination indicates that the air bag is deactivated. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer several times and they stated that nothing was wrong. The current mileage is 14,000 and failure mileage was 6,000. Updated 01-29-08.
Passenger side airbag sensor does not always sense when there is a passenger and indicator light shows airbag is off. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where I purchased it and they said there was no diagnostic code and they could not duplicate.
