Two days after buying this Windstar it wouldn't start!! 68,000 miles on it and the alternator lasted from the Ford dealership, I just bought it from, to my house 10 miles down the road. Got up the next morning and the thing wouldn't start. Preaus Ford dealership had to replace it. This is only one of the things I put $ out from the "good deal" van.
The old lady who had it hardly drove it. All 4 tires were dry rotted, replaced Ford's battery, transmission, ignition coil. It cost another $2,500 tacked on to buying price. Not a good deal. BUYERS OF "GOOD DEALS" BEWARE. DON'T BE FOOLED BY A FORD, NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT seems to drive or look all spruced up. THE HIDDEN INSIDE can be a KILLER! SO FAR - NO RECALLS ON THE TRANSMISSION.
