There was a recall on my vehicle, (Ford Windstar 2002 for defective axel). I did everything by the book and brought it in to ford for a fix that they came up with (installed brackets around the rust). They said that i was all set. a year later the axle broke anyway and I had to fork over $742.00 for a new axle. Why the hell do i have to pay for a part that they knew was defective. There so called fix never worked and I could have been killed in the process. Just Google: (ford rear axle recall) and you will learn more about this nightmare.
