Could have been killed. Driving at 60 mph when steering wheel started shimmying. Pulled off highway, parked and checked wheels. No movement. Got back in car and started a u-turn and front right wheel fell off. Damaged fender and trim, but no damage to axle or brakes. Had it towed and $160.00 later, new lugs. All 5 lugs had snapped. Thank god I got off of highway first. Mechanic said that lug nuts probably were not torqued properly.
