This problem happened shortly after purchasing vehicle. In addition to this repair, the Powertrain Control Module had to be replaced with only 1292 miles on the vehicle. I requested that this Windstar is replaced with another new one, but was denied. All repairs were covered under the warranty, however this should have been an indication that this vehicle is a lemon. I have had nothing but problems and expensive repairs until this day. Other repairs - rebuilt transmission (less than 100,000 mi) , replace Power steering pump and hoses 29,643 mi) Power steering pump is leaking again at 130,000.(Driver side door lock actuator replaced at 35,147 mi.) Vehicle would not idle and remain running, replaced valve assembly idle air control valve at 36,600 mi) Major engine repairs at 75,000 mi.
