I hit a deer in the fall in the front end on passenger side and the air bag never deployed.
I know the deer hit the bumper since we had hair on it.
The second time was my husband was going through an intersection and someone ran a red light and he t-boned the car (a VW jetta) that ran the light and the hole front of the van was torn apart and is going to be considered totaled. The air bags never deployed.
luckily my husband braced himself enough and had his seat belt on that he doesn't believe he hit the steering wheel or windshield. The front bumper actually was dangling in front of the van. I cannot believe the air bags never deployed. Every thing on the front end of the van was pushed about 2 feet back into the engine. God was watching over him.
