We bought our 2000 Ford Windstar in April 2005 and by that fall when we went to change our oil, the computer decided to lock the message cluster on the dash to say only OIL CHANGE REQUIRED. We had a Ford mechanic look into helping to clear the message and he couldn't get it cleared so we have had to disregard that message for 5+ years now even though we faithfully change the oil, the computer complains the oil needs changed yesterday. Pretty sad when even a mechanic can't fix it! I hate that cars are going more computerized with all the trouble we have had with the van! Makes me want to go back to simple horse and buggy transportation! Wooden wheels, anyone?
