Windstar 3.8L V6

I have a 2000 Ford Windstar. I just replaced the wiper motor in May. Now my wipers just stop working (noticed its usually when I slow down but not always) and will pick back up whenever they feel like it. This is in addition to my dashboard lights flickering from dim to bright and my side interior lights flickering on and off. I have no idea what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Windstar ES V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 84,000 miles

I just took out the fuses and am going to be taking it in next week. I've been without overhead lights for over a year now. They kept flashing as we drove from Charleston, SC to Pennsylvania, so part way through the trip we just took out the fuses. Then the interior floor lights also had a problem; they turn off and on. It is so intermittent that I just pray that they will stay off. Also sometimes the when I turn a corner the lights flash inside the floor.

Windstar SEL 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

I have started having numerous problems with my Windstar. The interior lights go off and on and unless I turn them completely off by the dash controls, they stay on when the van is off, which kills my battery or just keep flashing while I am trying to drive. At idle my van accelerates for no apparent reason and I have to make sure to keep my foot firmly on the brake when parking or pulling into or out of my driveway. My front heater all of a sudden stopped working. I am REALLY frustrated and hoping these problems are not major.
