Ford winstar 1999 windshield cracked while driving. Crack developed at the bottom, mid-width and is progreesing over the last two days. About 10 in. Long after two days.was not hit by stone. Crack is clean, no dings, etc.
Windshield cracked while driving slowly. After taking it to get a new one put in we found that it was never sealed/mounted on the bottom. Absolutly no adhesive contact what so ever. Also at 28755 miles the O/D light started blinking and the car clucked while making turns and the transmission was replaced under warrantty and now at 37000 miles it doing them same thing again.
Vehicle has been experiencing the following problems: 1. steering column out of alignment, causing difficulty in steering; 2. power steering pump making grinding sounds when engine is cold and, intermittently, when the engine gets hot; 3. ongoing problem with windshield fogging up and dealer is unable to correct the proble;. 4. brake pedal goes to the floor before stopping, causing extended stopping distance; and 5. a loud sound coming from the front of vehicle. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.
Driver's and passenger's side window has too much wind turbulence, excessive wind noise when driven over 40 mph, causing a distraction to driver.dealer claims there is no solution.
