While being driven AT45 mph, van stalled, resulting in steering wheel locking and brakes completely failing with no pressure. Owner had no other choice but to coast through an intersection with light.
While driving 5 mph, brakes completely shutdown. Pedal completely went to the floor with no force. Still not stopping the vehicle.. the failure of the brake system was attributed to the failing of the hydraulic control unit.
While driving and applying on brakes the pedal continues to merge to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Mechanic does not know why brakes are malfunctioning.
Various problem with power lock locking by itself/windshield wipers working intermittently/dome light not operating, and door ajar light staying on. Vehicle been in / out of dealer shop on several occasions, and problems still reoccurring. Possible electrical problem with failure of power locks, windshield wipers, dome light, door ajar light, door ajar switch, lift gate door ajar switch, battery saver relay inoperable, and washer light illuminating. Brakes noisy at times, dealer stated this was due to brake dust. Power steering is noisy when turning back and forth, dealer replaced tie rod end. Sliding door rattles while driving over bumps, dealer added foam tape to back side of panel, driver door rattles, sliding door hard to open at times, dealer lubed sliding hinges and latch. Dealer replaced shocks due to rattling noise when riding over bumps. Drivebelt replaced. Maf sensor replaced due to hesitation. Window guide did not fit tight.

When applying the brakes the pedal goes to the floor and stays down. Driver has to apply emergency brake in order to stop. Dlr couldnt duplicate the problem. Mjs
While driving at 25 mph applied the brakes and braked didn't stop vehicle. Consumer was able to slow the vehicle down and bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
When applying brake pedal became stiff and the vehicle did not stop or slow down. Has happened 5 times, once resulting in a crash. Also happened in reverse. Dealer has seen vehicle 3 times, and though it was the leaking battery acid which was causing causing the defect.
Vehicle jumped forward when stopping. Accelerated by itself, resulting in a crash. Brakes when applied, squeak loudly. Gears were very hard to change. Dealer contacted and is aware of the problem. Problems still exists. Provide further information.
While driving at any speed the vehicle stalls and the brakes grind. Had to be replace brakes twice and engine once. Consumer is hearing a banging noise coming from the vehicle and the vehicle will cut off without prior warning.
The brake pedak goes to the floor and is very mushy. The dealer has had the vehicle 4 times and claims the problem is fixed. But the problem remains, now the dealer claims that the brake pedal condition is normal for the vehicle and does not pose a problem, as a police officer and an accidend investigator I am convinced that at anything close to maximum loading those brakes will fail.
Whenever steering wheel is turned, vehicle would stall out. The stalling would also occur when brakes are applied in a panic stop. Took to dealer, twice, & informed could not find cause of stalling. However, on January 26, 1998, problem was resolved by dealer.
