The Windstar vans have a history of gas tank leaks in hot areas of the country. NHTSA Campaign ID 99V30900. We moved from Colorado to Arkansas (a hot weather area) 2 years ago. Ford says there is no recall on my Windstar bur there are recalls on other models. After talking with a Ford supervisor with this information, and his subsequent inaction, I have filed reports with the NHTSA and the Better Business Bureau. Ford should fix this at their expense because it's a known safety problem in Windstars.
