Consumer stated that brakes were defective. A couple of times, almost did not stop at a stop sign, vehicle kept going even when he kept pumping the brakes. Consumer took vehicle to the mechanic, and mechanic determined that a cylinder was missing in the motor. Also, mechanic told consumer that calipers and rotors needed to be replaced. Consumer insisted that brakes/calipers, and rotors were replaced, but brakes still did not work properly. Then, consumer received a recall notice. Took vehicle to the dealer, and left vehicle at dealers. 20 minutes later, mechanic called consumer and stated there was nothing wrong with vehicle.
The entire engine was replaced, however the vehicle continued to have engine problems, the transmission side pan gasket, heat, power window, defroster, door switch assembly, were all replaced, the dome light would stay on continuously, and the right caliper was leaking.
Ford refuses to acknowledge that there is an inherrent design fault with the 1995 braking system. I have had the brakes and calipers replaced approx every 8,000 miles since new and now that the vehicle is out of warranty, I am told that I have to drive with it or replace the van. Ford should be accountable for design flaws.

Less than one year later, front brakes show 35% wear on left an 100%. front suspension has also made popping sounds for a long time, with no reason offered by Ford.
