While driving consumer applied the brake and they failed. Vehicle was taken to an independent shop, technician stated brake lines were rusted. This vehicle was bought on Sept 9, 2003.
Hydraulic brake lines corroded, causing brake failure. Dealer has repaired vehicle. Brake line is located over catalytic convertor. The A/C condensation drips on the steel brake line (not stainless steel). The moisture and excessive heat corroded the brake line. It was discovered when the driver stopped for brake pedal going to the floor.
