Ford TSB #SSM 48081
2019 Ford Transit Connect
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2019 Transit Connect vehicle owners may request a way to disable the enhanced security system to prevent motion from activating the vehicles anti-theft alarm. On exiting the vehicle, a menu will be displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) that will allow a change in the alarm status to perimeter only. If the menu is not being displayed, use the latest version of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool and run the IPC Anti-Theft Configuration application. This will enable the menu on vehicle exit in the IPC.
