- Leaking Transmission Seal - According to our sources via FordTransitConnectForum.com, Several Transit Connect owners are reported a faulty Transmission seal/leak. Over time if left unchecked and the transmission fluid level has not been properly maintained, there could be transmission failure.

Our first major outing and we drove the 2015 Ford Transit Connect from Maryland to West Virginia and back. Although the trip down to WV was great.. the return trip, the transmission seemed a bit sluggish. Again not sure if this is a major concern, but worth noting, just in case things get worse. No transmission leak has been noticed and when searching for the transmission dipstick, we couldn't find it. This tells me that perhaps the transmission could be sealed. We'll have to research this a bit more.
Our official Ford Owners site suggested that our next service is scheduled in 16,000 miles. No mention of having the oil changed at 6,000 which is what the dealer told us should be done but I doubt we'll be taking back to that dealer after hey couldn't even install our license plates after the salesmen screwed up the license plate bracket screws.
