We test drove one Transit Connect that had several seats, we only wanted the one with the two seats so we did not test drive the one we purchased because we were told they all drove the same. We took our first trip the next day, about 200 miles one way. After we entered on the freeway and had to slow down for traffic we noticed the vibration in the brakes.
As soon as we returned home I tried to call the service department, it took two days to get through, it was always a voice message, finally we got the van in, they said they looked at the brakes, all was good, the service manager and I went for a drive, he could not get going very fast because of traffic, but said that at the first oil change we could have the brakes looked at again and if the rotors needed turning they would do it then. I doubt that we will be back to that dealer,.I will find another service department that will do something about the problem.
To date we can not get through to the sales person, when I called for him I will told that no one by that name worked there. This is the first American made vehicle we have purchased since our Pinto station wagon that Ford could never fix the seat rear seat belt problems, I guess back to imports.
