The contact's employer owns a 2014 Ford Transit Connect. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the panoramic roof panel detached on the passenger-??s side but remained attached to the driver's side. The detached panoramic roof panel struck the driver's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, who determined that the panoramic roof panel was not adequately bonded to the vehicle. The contact was informed that the panoramic roof panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V695000 (Visibility); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 147,219.
