In 3/19 the temperature gauge rose to hot very quickly. Checked coolant and reservoir empty. Filled it and took to garage. They ran tests for leaks, etc. and could not find problem. They called Davidson Ford Dealership and Ford told my mechanic to put in a new Ford radiator and thermostat. Temperature gauge not working normally but said it was good to drive. In 7/19 transit began to heat up and stall after driving a very short distance. Checked coolant and it was down half. On the way to dealership transit stalled at stoplight and would not start. Had to be towed to Davidson Ford for repairs. They are not sure what is wrong. Coolant boils out of reservoir when sitting running before fans can turn on. Technician first said thermostat, but I told him I just got a new one 3 mos. ago, so then he said it was probably the water pump or head gasket. Good grief can anyone help me??? There is a recall # 17S09 for this problem, but doesn't come up on VIN # as I have a 2.0 L engine and the recall is for 1.6 L 2013 Transit Connect. Reported to Safercar.gov and Ford but no results. Can anyone please help me. Thank you.
