I bought 2010 Ford Transit Connect, 7/12/16, with 28600 miles on it. When the car had 34000 miles the transmission starts to fail, 2nd gear level is hesitating to hold and keeps running back and forth until it moves to 3rd gear level. At the moment it goes to higher level (3rd and 4th), the car drive fine. This is my working cargo van, and from day to day, the problem get worse, so I'm waiting to be stuck on the road every day, while I'm running calls to mechanics for estimate.
In my worse nightmare, I couldn't imagine to put my best dollars on a low mileage car, and to encourage such problem of old car. What is next, engine problem?
I spoke with another two drivers of 2012 and 2011 Ford Transit connects, both of them were under 100,000 miles and already replaced the transmission.
Is there any law suit against Ford for this transmission problem?
This is a big failure of Ford, and I am consider my steps with Ford Cargo Vans.
