Ford TSB #SSM 47340
2018 Ford Transit
TSB Document:
Affected Component: EQUIPMENT
- Summary
- 2017-2018 F-Super Duty/F-650/F-750/E-Series/Transit chassis cab and stripped chassis vehicles have their front alignment set as part of final assembly. The addition of aftermarket equipment such as utility and box bodies will change the ride height and therefore the alignment angles. Front-end alignments performed before the addition of aftermarket equipment may not be accurate. It is the responsibility of the final-stage manufacturer to check and set alignment angles and set clear vision (steering wheel orientation) after the addition of the aftermarket equipment. Reference page nine of the Body Builders Layout book for more information about this and the addition of aftermarket bodies to incomplete vehicles.
