drive shaft lost bolt and extensive damage
Drive shaft lost bolt and caused extensive damage to drive train and DEF system. Totally immobile and with mileage at 132000, Ford claims out of warranty and in repair shop 775 miles from home and am considering getting a lawyer as there are records of similar problems on same vehicle and also recall on same vehicle with dual rear wheels, which mind does not have, but drive train would probably be similar. Have contacted Ford Credit (which is financed through, Ford Consumer service and dealer where it is located at and where I purchased and no help from any source. In less than 2 weeks have lost over 6600.00 in revenue plus having to rent a car to go between home and vehicle location and motel.
Actual estimate to fix is 10018.71 with 5440.63 in parts.
Any suggestions or similar problems with the same type vehicle would be appreciated as it appears I will have to resort to a lawyer to get this resolved. I can be contacted through hubee@aol.com
