I have a 2015 Ford Transit 250. I recently purchased my Ford so soon after I got the recall letter for the 17S15 driveshaft coupler recall. I made an appt and took it to Ted Russell Ford in Knoxville TN and they replaced it but I started having a loud vibration that wasn't there before so I took it back to Ford where they told me that the recall had been done properly but said that I needed a new driveshaft but it would be at no cost to me. They replaced the driveshaft and I still had the vibration. They checked the driveshaft alignment and said it was fine. I called the Ford 800 # where they simply gave me a case # and told me I had to follow up with the service manager at the dealer. I went back to Ford where the manger is now telling me that the vibration is a normal characteristic of the redesign of the driveshaft but that can't be right bc the recall was for vibration and noise. So today I took it to a drive shaft shop where he drove it and said the vibration is not normal and he thinks it the carrier bearings being out of balance so I'm going to Ford and see if they will have it balanced.
