1 & 2 coil failure

ongoing problem still covered by a recall (07M07). recall is almost up, so I will be on my own after this with Ford as they won't pay to fix their design flaw after March 2014. Still not resolved in 2016 as I am posting this rant.

problem #2

Mar 092015

Thunderbird V8

  • CVT transmission
  • 67,208 miles

4 coil failure

No longer under a recall, this is how much it cost to replace the design defect coil on this luxury car. I have more coils that might fail, but Ford will no longer fix them. In addition to possible coil failures, I now have another problem that I separately complained about.
