I was involved in a traffic accident in which I struck another vehicle on the passenger side with the right front of my 1995 frod. The impack speed was 35 mph with no braking what so ever. Neither of the two air bags in my vehicle worked. I recieved neck/back injuries. One person in the other vehicle died at hospital. At what speed should my air bags worked. The impact was solid and hard enough to cause the inner fender to buckle, but neither air bags deployed.
Airbags engaged at 20 mil.hr. Impact. Threw right arm into windshield, crushed wrist, fractured arm in 5 places, required 6 surgeries, permanatly disabledover $50,000 in physical damages.
Driver's and passenger's airbags did not deploy at a 25 mph frontal impact which did not protect the occupants in this crash. Mechanic said that driver's airbag sensor was inoperative. Manufacturer contacted.
While parallel parking and moving forward, vehicle suddenly accelerated with high speed in which the driver had foot on the brakes, but would not stop, causing an accident. Driver hit tree and a wall when attempting to stop vehicle. Airbag deployed, causing eye damage to the occupant. No prior problems. Dealer could not find any problems with the vehicle. Please provide further information and VIN#.

Consumer was driving when another vehicle pulled in front of consumer, causing consumer to apply brakes for an emergency stop, however vehicle hit rear of other vehicle, and air bags did not deploy.
Was driving and another vehicle cut in front. Consumer applied her brakes, but was unable to avoid hitting the other vehicle. Air bags did not deploy. Driver sustained neck injuries. 827006 dup of 823210; posted on 09-07-1999.
