I purchased the Ford Taurus brand new in Dec. 2016. I'm glad that I purchased the extended warranty, because at 64,000, my water pump failed. The dealership said that it had to be a problem when it came from the factory.
Because of the pandemic in 2020, my car was in the repair shop for over two weeks. If I did not have the extended car warranty, my bill would have been almost $4,000.
