Taurus SEL 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,100 miles

A year ago had car in for service on a recall. The service manager took for ride with repair person who reported the start of a shake at 11,000 miles. Well at 20,100 the shake got so bad I took it back in for repairs and was told the right side cv axle assembly was shot and needed replacement. Then they said it wasn't covered under warranty because the car was in a accident at 1,300 miles. I do have a green title to this car (not a rebuilt or salvage) so the repair should have been warranty but Ford dealer refused to cover it. Cost of repair at dealer $630.00 but at the local axle repair shop it cost $340.00.

Taurus Limited 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,600 miles

Bought this car as a demo (new) with approx. 5600mi on it 12/12/13. Had to bring it back same day for terrible vibration, they balanced tire and off I went. No change and then noticed noisy struts and steering wheel off center, brought back to dealer the next day again 12/13/13, they balanced tires again, the dealer ignored the strut and alignment issue I noticed once I picked up the vehicle.... The long of the short is this problem, vibration and struts, to this day 1/24/13 has still not been resolved, they have replaced the tires twice, swapped wheels etc, I've been in and out of the dealer over half a dozen times for the same issues, Ford engineer went to dealer with a vibration analyzer and drove another like car on the dealer lot and the outcome was..... Ready?.... Here it comes....

The genius trumps in saying "that is just how these cars ride because of the low profile tires and there is nothing they can do" So apparently that was a creative way of saying Ford F'd up when these Taurus's were engineered and too bad, so sad for the people who buy them. He also went as far to say "all cars with low profile tires vibrate like this" Little does he know I have 2 other vehicles at home with low profile tires and they don't vibrate, I have had cars with low profile tires in the past and they didn't vibrate either as I am sure is the case with thousands of other people also. I must say that that field engineer isn't very bright feeding that pile of crap to me!!

Anyway I have begun lemon law proceedings and will get them to take this car back, maybe they can resell it as a massage apparatus!!

COME ON FORD! OWN UP TO YOUR F UPS!!!
