The Right rear toe link snapped just after I had turned onto a side road so fortunately I was still accelerating. The car jerked sideways and since I had the same thing happen in July of 2017 (this was also reported) where my left rear toe link snapped. I realized immediately what had happened. Fortunately my speed was only about 30 km/h, versus the 100 km/h the first time, and there was no other traffic so there was no further damage to the car. I was able to limp it to my residence which was only a km away. The tow truck hauled the vehicle to a dealership where the right toe link was replaced.
Had this occurred on the highway at highway speed as my previous incident did, it could have resulted in serious injury or fatality, mine or someone else, had I swerved into oncoming traffic. Ford recalled over 24,000 vehicles with this same problem, the Taurus was not one of them. This greatly concerns me as this could have easily resulted in serious injury to myself or someone in an oncoming vehicle.
