I purchased a 2013 SEL Ford Taurus in December of 2012. I got oil changes regularly, however; I began to get a “Low Oil Pressure†alarm flashing of an indicator on my dash of my car in November 2016. I looked up the information and then decided to get my car to a mechanic. I took the car to Calvert’s Auto repair on Woodson Road, here in St. Louis, MO. They in turn told me that my Oil Pressure Sensor need to be replaced in which I allowed. Shortly after that the light began to come on again so they encouraged me to take it to the dealership because they were not sure what was going on. They were getting several codes but none that related to the engine. I took my car to Ford, Bommorito in Hazelwood, MO and they reviewed the car and thus told me the Oil Pressure was bad and that they looked around the wiring but could only find that the sensor was bad. They were willing to replace it for a fee but basically that was all they had found. Of course since it was just a sensor I decided to take my car back to Calvert’s. They of course replaced the sensor but then the light began coming on again even after taking the car to a dealership repair shop. By the middle of March my car over-heated and I had it towed to the shop. To my surprise I was told that water the pump had gone out and the oil and coolant had mixed and melted quite a few parts which in turn caused me to need a new motor. My motor is gone. My 2013 Taurus which I was lied to and told that my engine would be cover for 100,000 miles and had gone not only to 2 shops of which one was a Ford mechanic shop.
