My wife was on her way to work in rush hour, when the power of this car shut down to sputter, in the middle of an intersection. She coasted to the side lane after her turn, and the car had no acceleration, only 3 mph. She stopped at the nearest pull over and shut it off. Then, started it back up where it fired up great. She ran it almost to work and it did the same thing while driving in the right lane. She put her flasher on and coasted, till she had to stop as it quit running. After a minute she started it back up and got to work, as it ran fine for the next 3 miles. We took it to our mechanic, (Allied Automotive) and he found no code, and it ran fine for him, of course. This has happened to me (her husband) today, 3 days later, in the middle of an intersection as well. It almost caused an accident. So, off to the Ford dealership Monday. Will follow up.
Update from Sep 29, 2017: After all my research, I was pretty sure it was the throttle body. I drove it for awhile and it ran fine for 4 days. Then, 1/2 mile from my house it lost power. I drove it 4mph to my mechanic and kept it running until they ran code. Sure enough, throttle body. Fixed and fine now. Throttle body is pretty simple to replace if u mind to. But they still have to reset the computer after replacing.
