The option to adjust the climate control or change the radios is not available in this vehicle anymore. They are currently stuck on defrost and high heat which makes you almost blind when the sweat runs in your eyes. The radio just plays at an uncomfortable volume level. There have been no warnings has to why this happened. It just happened all at once, with no way to change it. You try being 160 miles from home with a toddler in car midsummer and your heater blowing on hi heat. This has happened to many people all over, theres no new part being manufactured to replace this broken one, and there's no salvage yards that have one for sale because they have all been bought up. and this issue is still arising in other fords that are only a couple years old. Ford needs to have a recall on this!

I own a 2011 Ford Taurus SEL model. August 2021 water leaking from sunroof, windshield and headliner on left side soaked and water drips out from the seam, moisture above visor and water stains visible. While driving if I brake, I can the water slush from back to front under and inside car. Drivers side floor is flooded with water since August 2021 and reported it to Geico and has not been fixed. Reason for reporting: Is there a recall on the sunroof or windshield ? Dangers of electrical damage, mold and mildew and rusted out floor shortens the life of the vehicle.

I've had this car for 2 months already. I pulled out of my house, drove thru my street and when I came to a stop in a intersection my car stopped completely and the wheel became hard and was not able to turn it or press on the gas pedal. The engine light, electronic stability control active light and battery alert light came on at the same time. Also it alerted me I was low on gas witch I had half a tank of gas.

My trunk leaked once in 2017 soaking legal paperwork. Found source of leak through faulty gaskets, used silicone and performed my own water test with hose. Front left headlight leaked through rubber gasket. I have had to pay out of pocket to fix my car and reported all this to Ford but was told there are no recalls and safe my receipts. Ac compressed died paid 1,000, smart junction box needed to be replaced and paid 500 to replace part that circulates inside air. Love my car paid 37 th back in 2011 but since out of warrantee and bought extended warrantee nothing much is covered. Only 58,400 miles on my Taurus sel model. Will never buy another Ford again.

Ford recall # 15S02. I brought it in during April 2015 and was told repairs were needed but Ford has no parts and I would hear when they became available.. I have followed up with auto nation Ford several time in the last 10 months and have been told Ford still hasn't gotten around to it. I contacted Ford headquarters and they don't give a [xxx] and remain criminally liable for child endangering negligence. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Rear view camera stopped working a short time ago. Car was completely inspected and I was told that the repair would cost $1136 ! car has very low mileage, no accidents, garage stored etc. I find it hard to believe such an expense on the car. How often will this become a problem" will I need to come up with $1100 or more on a regular basis every few years for such repairs ? is Ford aware of this problem with other cars and have made arrangements to assist in cost of repairs"

This is a recall complaint. There was a safety recall on the driver's side door handle at the end of March 2015. Took the car in and was told they had the parts and car would be ready at day's end. When I went back, they said they couldn't get the part and auto would be ready on Monday. On Monday they still didn't have the part and as of today Aug. 26, 2015, they still don't have the necessary part. They did provide us with a rental vehicle, but when I do pick-up my car"??????"they will charge me 300+$ for the work they did for my 50,000 mi check-up. I think they should cancel that fee for the months of inconvenience they have caused me!!!!!!! plus they have left my car sitting outside all of this time! weeds, summer sun beating down have all caused deterioration to my always (before) garage kept car. Can you help?

Was driving at 65 mph on highway when I tried to accelerate nothing happened and I noticed all dash lights were on. I coasted to shoulder, shifted to park and pushed ignition button and it restarted. This has happened 5 other times and luckily there was a shoulder available, but the holman Ford dealership, (who is the only one who has ever serviced the car), says they have no idea what the problem is. It was a very dangerous situation and I noticed GM had similar problem and recalled autos due to death!! I have been lucky but now fear this car, after 5 times. It is not a stall. It just shuts off.

My 2001 Taurus ses during cold and/or snowy/rainy months doors freeze up constantly. Very difficult to get into car. When I finally manage to get in I have to drive holding onto the door because it will not reshut as the door handle assembly becomes lodged and door will not latch. I have inspected the rubber around door and it looks fine. But I do go treat it every cold season in hopes the door will not re-freeze but I have been unsuccessful as it still is happening. Finally after car has been heating up for about 45 min. To an hour with heater on full blast I am then able to get the door to latch shut. When this first started to happen I was unaware that door was not latched and when I went around a corner going about 5 miles an hour the door flew open. This started to happen in 2010 and has happened ever since and it is now 2012. All 4 doors freeze up but since I drive mainly alone it is the driver side that has become very annoying and hazzardous. This issue has made me late for work and many other appointments as well. Once I had my daughter as a passenger in the car and the passenger side door flew open and she went to grab it and the door was heavy and it pulled her with it. Thank got she had her seat belt on and that I was still in town going slow. Something needs done about this immediatly. As far as door latch, I carry a screw driver in the car so I can work at the latch located on the inside of the door. Need something over the door to keep moisture from seeping in or something on these cars.

The start engine button cuts the engine off if you accidentally hit it. It is right beside the radio on/off button so is very easy to hit by mistake. If you are driving 70 mph on the interstate and accidentally hit it you are left with no engine power, no power brakes and no power steering. Someone is going to get killed. I have written Ford a couple of times and have gotten no response except to tell my local dealer. It's not a dealer problem. The button should have some type of cover over it. This has happened to us while driving - luckily were able to put car in neutral and restart engine.

Headlights do not shine far enough ahead to be able to see anything that's over 200 feet ahead. Only way you can see farther is to use the bright lights all the time. You cant see curves coming up or deer standing in the middle of the road nothing. They just do not shine far enough in front of the car. There is a black line where the lights end like something is blocking the top half of the light. Very dangerous
