The contact owns a 2011 Ford Taurus. While driving approximately 30 mph in rainy weather, the contact depressed the brake pedal but the brakes would not respond. The contact was able to stop the vehicle by applying extreme pressure to the brake pedal and applying the emergency brake. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The technicians stated water had entered the brake system and caused the failure but no repair was necessary. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.
