I have had problems with the drivetrain off and on since I bought the car. The transmission has been repaired 3 times. About 2 years ago I started to experience the car accelerating from a stop on its own. Luckily until yesterday the car's movement didn't cause any major damage. I was leaving a restaurant after celebrating my birthday. I moved the car from the parking space went about 50 feet to a stop and after stopping it accelerated out in to the road causing me to hit an on coming car.
I have taken it to the purchasing dealer twice before when it occurred... of course they can not duplicate the problem. I see where Ford is being investigated about this problem with other Taurus's! Now i'm sure my insurance will sky rocket and I got a car that might kill me one day!
