Loud Clunking Noise has been brought to attention of dealer from whom I purchased the car in July of 2010. Same problem was repaired by them in August/September of 2010 for the drivers side front wheel.
Dealer showed me a "technical bulletin" from Ford, stating it is a typical noise that struts make.
In all my years of driving different cars, I have never heard of this at all. And it is getting worse. At times I could swear the wheel is going to come off the car.
Update from May 4, 2012: I did find a dealer who replaced the strut and it has been fine. But now it is starting again.
