As I was pulling out of my driveway the engine suddenly became very loud... I pulled back into the driveway and heard a sound like I was dragging something. I had my son examine the vehicle and he found that the Catalytic Converter had broken away from the Flange that secures it to the Exhaust Manifold... Tomorrow he will remove the Converter and Flange and attempt to have it re-welded... otherwise I will have to purchase and entirely new Converter... which I'm assured is quite expensive... I am now forced to rely on others for a ride to work, the store, etc... whilst this problem is being resolved... and to think I could have been at Interstate speeds when this example of poor craftsmanship reared it's ugly head... serious injury or death could have resulted from a poor weld...
