I have had this car for 3 years. My mother-in-law bought it new and took very good care of it. Last year I spent over $2500 on repairs and now the transmission is going. I took it in to be checked because the "check transmission" light was on. I was just told it would cost $4500 to have it rebuilt or $2500 to have a used transmission with 7500 miles on it put in. I am reading reviews about these transmissions going at or before 100,000 miles, so I am not sure it would be worth it. Sounds to me like this is a defect in the transmission on this vehicle and Ford should step up to the plate and make it right. My father use to say FORD stands for Fix Or Repair Daily. I should have listened to him.
