7 trips to ford for the transmission. I purchased a 2007 Ford Taurus, took it to the local ford dealer, found the horn inoperative. they called me back told me car was in an accident, could fix it for 130 dollars. i work for a chevrolet dealer and picked my car up right away found out the horn was only unplugged but then found out transmission had a severe leak. took it to a new ford dealer who replaced the wrong gasket. took it back again, they replaced the right gasket that time but on my way home check transmission light came on. took it to ford for the third time for the transmission, they replaced a solenoid. all good for about 2 weeks until that nice trans lite was back again with hard 1-2 shift. re-replaced solenoid and this time valve body and torque converter. shifted well for about 2 months till i lost second gear off and on. took it to ford again and told me transmission was low on fluid which was checked that morning. after fighting with the manager he test drove it and had no second gear. a week and a half later got my car back and took it to the dealer i work for put it on and lift to find out they installed a seal wrong and had a new leak. had to take it back and they added dye and told me to bring it back again. Ford would not stand behind their product. i had to trade the vehicle and take the hit on what i owed on the car.
