In May of 2010 I drove my car from Green Bay, Wisconsin to Houston, Texas. All the way there I kept hearing a sort of humming sound and the bottom of the car under my feet felt strange. Luckily, I was parked when the entire exhaust system fell off. A friend took the car and the exhaust system to a local repair shop and they attached it.
Currently, 2015, the car only has 78000 miles on it. I am hearing the same humming sound from underneath the car. I know what is going to happen and I only hope it doesn't happen on the high way. I can't afford to get it repaired right now so I will have no choice but to drive it as is.
Does anyone know if there is a way I can contact the Ford Company to see if there is a chance that they will cover this expense. Maybe there is a recall on this problem that I have not heard about. I don't drive much so I hope the exhaust system stays on until I am in a better position financially.
