This is my 2nd transmission on my 2006 Ford Taurus. Had to replace the first at 79,000 miles and currently have 173,000 on it. That transmission replacement was $3600 at the dealership.
My "Check Transmission" light comes on constantly, literally dozens of times a day. I had this problem a couple of months ago & brought it to a trans place, replaced a relay and it solved the problem until yesterday. Took it back there, no codes for transmission but a couple of other codes, random misfire, 02 sensors, etc.
He checked over the transmission and couldn't find a problem, and the car is driving normally. The thing that drives me up the wall is it makes a loud BEEP everytime the light goes off. Just wish I could shut that noise off.
