I bought a 2005 ford taurus with 45,000 miles on it.from a private individual. the car drove perfect. I felt the vehicle needed new tires since they were dry rotted. i took the car and had new tires put on it and the car has never been the same. shimmies and vibrations.. i had the tire place put new tires on it again and the same thing. i took it to a mechanic. he installed new half shafts from the transmission to the hub bearings..guess what, problem is still there. so he said maybe its a hub bearing so we replaced those also. guess what problem is still there. so i took the car to a transmission shop.they claim noise from the transmission final drive. i got a 1300.00 dollar bill coming and i still have my doubts that this will fix the problem. at this point if it doesn't work what do i do then.. the tires have been balanced and rotated twice already. ill never know what happened that day i took it to the tire shop??????????
