I was driving down route 4 South from forestville, md towards upper marlboro, md. I went to accelerate, when the RPM gauge began to climb about as high as it could go. At the same time, the mph gauge began to decrease. I pulled my vehicle off of the road onto the shoulder and let it coast to a stop. I could shift from "drive" to "reverse" to "1st", but the car would not move forward or backwards. I had it towed for repairs.
