- Fuel Gage Inop + Engine Light On + P0460 - The problem is a failing E85 fuel sensor. You can get one from your local dealer; costs about $40. It installs under the radio, under the dash. Not hard to get to - just unbolt, pull off the wire connection, put in the new part. I did this on my 2001 Taurus and it solved the problem.
