On 4th blend door actuator. door remains "maybe stuck" and small plastic gear in actuator strips out (failure). Last three "master mechanics" said the actuator failed.... disagree. Something "ahead" of the actuator tells the blend door to move (and the actuator responds accordingly). There is NO sticking of the door as it moves freely (was told be the last three mechanics..). So, perhaps whatever device is intermittently doing out that drives the settings.... so it's upstream. Replacing actuators is not the fix.... I am seeking advice on what to do next. Perhaps the temperature remote control module? This is the digital control system (Taurus SEL). Help?
