My son, rob, was severely injured in a high-speed crash when the air bag in our 2000 Ford Taurus failed to deploy during a head-on collision with a fencepost. The dealer, who did not see the car after the accident, claimed that the reason was where the post struck the car. Recently, we heard about the investigation into air bag problems with the Taurus and Sable, and I think this could be another such case.
Consumer's vehicle was involved in a collision, and air bags did not deploy. Consumer's vehicle was hit from the rear by a semi-truck travelling approx 55mph. Consumer's vehicle then collided with another car in front on them. Consumer sustained serious injuries.

While traveling in a rain storm at 25 mph vehicle in front suddenly stopped, and consumer's vehicle rear ended the other vehicle. Upon impact, none of the airbags deployed.
While driving at 40-45mph at night tme on dry roads consumer lost control, going to fast around a curve. Consumer hit a tree, and airbags didn't deploy. Consumer's right arm was broken, and vehicle was totaled.

While driving 40 mph had a frontal impact, and driver's /passenger's airbags did not deploy, which did not protect occupants in this crash. No prior problems with airbag system. The autobody repair specialist indicated that the air bag failure to deploy was connected to faulty seat belts.
While on interstate and coming off an exit ramp consumer lost consciousness and hit a guardrair, and a tree on the front passenger side of vehicle. Upon impact, none of airbags deployed.
While driving ABS braking system malfunctioned, causing wheels to lock up in dry conditions, which had a 36 feet long of skid marks, and resulted in a frontal impact. Driver's and passenger's air bags did not deploy, and did not protect the occupants in this crash.
